Museum on Wheels

We understand that not all middle schools in the area have equal accessibility to field trips at The Neon Museum. If you cannot bring your middle school classroom to learn at the Neon Boneyard, we’ll deliver the lesson to Las Vegas middle school teachers through our Museum on Wheels program.

Museum on Wheels is an exciting new program geared towards middle school classrooms that brings the museum right to you! CCSD middle schools can use the wheels for a two-week period at no cost, and delivery is free thanks to our fantastic sponsors: MGM Resorts International and Clark County OAG Community Initiatives.

Museum on Wheels is offered in various content areas and contains a teacher handbook with master copies of worksheets, inventory lists, hard copies of PowerPoints, and lesson plans. The contents may also include books, visual aids, tactile artifacts, and a variety of other items.

Booking a Museum on Wheels

Online reservations for Museum on Wheels are open for CCSD middle schools for the 2023-2024 school year. Museum on Wheels can be booked for delivery on Mondays only, and the last reservations for the school year will be accepted until Monday, May 6th, 2024. When selecting your preferred Monday for delivery, the available content areas for that date will be displayed. Please note that some Mondays may be unavailable due to recognized holidays. To ensure availability, Museum on Wheels must be reserved at least one week before your desired Monday delivery date.

Returning The Museum on Wheels

A professional delivery company will pick up your Museum on Wheels from your school office on the last day of your reservation. All bookings are for a duration of 12 days, beginning on a Monday, and ending on the second Friday after your delivery. When you finish using the Museum on Wheels contents, please repack everything in an orderly manner, ensuring that all items are included for the next user. Please ensure that the wheels are packed with all the materials and brought back to the school office the Thursday before the scheduled Friday morning pick up. You will receive a reminder email to ensure the wheels are ready for pick up at the scheduled time.
